We have just learned that a national strike has been called for tomorrow, January 30.
Had we been made aware of this event in advance, the Grand Lake would have certainly closed to support the opposition to the criminal Trump regime, the oppression of immigrants and minorities, and the attacks on our constitutional rights.
However we have pre-sold hundreds of tickets and cannot have a situation where our moviegoers travel to our theater to find it dark. That would be very unfair to our patrons.
For anyone who has bought tickets we will either honor them on another day or issue refunds.
We will in the future support a general strike that is announced in a timely fashion.
The Grand Lake Theater has a long record of opposing oppression and government misconduct.

(*Excluding Special Engagements) Our new discount policy now extends to matinee shows! All tickets for showtimes starting prior to 6pm are only $7.50, 3-D included! Every day!
